Apply for your mail-in ballot before Tuesday, November 1. You can apply to vote by mail online, over email, or through the vote-by-mail application postcard sent to you in the mail by the Elections Division in early October. For more info on mail-in voting, click here.
*You can vote by mail in MA for any reason; you don't need an absentee ballot if you want to vote by mail unless you're overseas, hospitalized, on active military duty, or incarcerated.
Put your mail-in ballot in the mail by before Tuesday, November 8. Your ballot has to be postmarked by Election Day and received by the Elections Division by 5pm 3 days after Election Day to count.
You can mail your ballot back using the envelope provided, deliver your ballot in person to your local election office, drop your ballot off at an early voting location during early voting hours, or drop your ballot into a drop box in your city or town.
After you mail your ballot, you can track its progress and make sure it arrives.
You can go to your local early polling place in person to vote. Early voting runs from October 22 to November 4.
Find your polling location, and vote YES ON 4. Polls are open 7am to 8pm on November 8.
